    A. White Liberty folding organ bellows/reed question

We are new owners of an old, restored A. White Liberty folding organ generally in good repair.

As we are trying it out, we discovered that pumping the bellows often (not always) causes a soecific note (an E-flat) to sound. The matching key is not visibly stuck (it depresses and releases normally).

Any suggestions what the cause might be? And how easy to fix?

The spring that holds the pallet valve closed is probably weak. The vacuum pulls it open.

Thanks, that's a good lead to explore.
