    Wlm hit b^p

    Hi
I got this organ a while ago and it was working fine. I've just gone to use it after a month or so and the fuse has blown. I can't see what fuse it should be so I replaced with a 500ma just in case! ... it blew.

What I need before I start to open her up for explotitary surgery, is any info, spec, or preferably the manual!

I see on a closed forum here that someone has them, is it you?

    Any help gratefully appreciated!

    Cheers
    Groover.

Perhaps if you could enlighten us as to what a "Wlm hit b^p" is in ordinary English some one will be able to help.

I had one. The 'Hit BP' is a two manual Finnish built Hammond clone. With way too many percussion choices (drawbars)......and weird vibrato. And a slider/fader for master tuning, big mistake IMO.
The fuse is inside the back panel on a circuit board IIRC.
Working properly they can sound OK I suppose.

Made by Karkilla, long out of business.

    Umm it's a WLM organ called a HIT B^P.

Not really sure what else to tell you. The rest of the story is in the post.

    Thanks for that.
Any other info I could use before I break out the screwdrivers?

Made by WLM Organ Oy, a company in the town of Karkkila.

Hit and Beat are the same thing in different cabinets. I've seen one with the tuning slider/fader but most units do not have it - I can imagine the sort of trouble it can cause.

#1 culprit for all problems with these are the connectors for wiring looms which connect the PCBs together.

I may have a schematic somewhere, I'll look it up.

There you go, service manual for Hit and Beat in English, dated March 31, 1977. I couldn't figure out how to upload it to correct album in gallery.

    Onre,

That makes sense. Perhaps PDF attachments are limited to after a certain number of posts. Many people don't realize how much bad stuff gets gets transported by *dobe products and their ilk. Sorry I couldn't help, then. It's probably a setting that cannot be overwritten by anyone except Admin.

My page also says I can't post attachments. It might just be a moderator thing.
Onre, you could post a pdf to the gallery. It wouldn't be viewable but it would be downloadable.
