On some of the larger reed organs which were made for a chapel or church you might have more of a variety than on the popular home reed organ. You have to experiment with the various stops to see what they do, and then you can know just what tones you have available. In short they are very limited.

Even the Wurlitzer ES reed models have only a few tones where the stops originate in their sealed reed box where the pickups can pick up the vibration of the reed and then it goes to the electrical system to the amplifier. There is not as much variety as one would think among the various stops on any reed organ.
