As far as the crackling, that could mean the amplifier needs new parts. Im not an electronics expert, but past experience tells me that the filter capacitors or tubes might need replacing.
Leslie hookup: depends on the leslie of course. A standard 6pin leslie with an amplifier probably needs a Kit 6147 installed. That will work for any ...
