    Thomas 127 Problem

Hello, I just got this organ for next to nothing. I'm having a problem with the A notes on it. The highest A on both manuals works perfectly, but the lower A's sound the same frequency as the highest A and get progressively quieter. (barely audible on the lowest A). And, I can't hear anything from the A bass pedal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The Thomas generator is a divider system and it sounds like you have a weak part.   Most likely just where the sound begins to fade.   You will need a schematic.    Organ Service Corporation may have the parts.    (You may want to shop for another organ rather than make this investment.  Other Thomas models higher up the line are selling for what you will probably invest in this repair)

Definitely a divider problem. The 127 is now 36 years old and, as has been said, you can pick up a much better and more modern instrument for free or very little.I'd be very tempted to cut my losses and get something else, unless you want to revive the old girl and give her a new lease of life. If so, you've been pointed in the right direction for any possible spares.

Trouble is, the 127 wasn't actually very good when it was new, so don't expect too much.
