    Church Pipe Organ Tuning Costs

    Hello All,

    Well, I've been away quite a while.  Been under the weather as well--7 weeks of Allergie problems.  YUCK!

    Anyway, a friend has asked me to find info about the cost to tune a 7-12 rank church pipe organ.

    We're in North Central Texas.  Any idea of what the going rate is?  This would be either a 2 person job.

    I would guess from $200 for a quick touch-up to $1000 for a complete retuning.

    Don't forget about travel time if your tuner doesn't live in your location.  Expect to pay anywhere from $50 to $70 per hour per person plus travel time.
