Music [8] Posting Policy For Specifications

Many people, including myself, find  posts of massively spec'd, non-existant organs an annoyance.  Formatting issues and specifications that span several messages don't help.  The last time we had a run of these, insults and complaints got out of hand, and I closed the topic to new posts for several months until things calmed down.  I don't want to have to do that again, so here are some guidelines about posting here.

    • The intended purpose of the specification topics is to present specifications of historical, currently existant, or in progress instruments.
    • In order to accomodate the home or amateur builder, specifications of instruments not fitting into the above categories, may be posted here provided that the do not exceed 20 ranks and 3 manuals.
    • All specifications, without exception, must be single spaced, fit in a single message no greater than 1000 pixels in height.  Put another way, the viewer of your specification should not have to scroll to view it in its entirety.  Use multiple columns and small font sizes as required to meet this goal.

I ask that everyone observe these guidelines going forward, and conduct themselves in the respectful, courteous manner that typifies our community here.

    Thank you,

    -Admin
