Hi All,
New to your forum. I interested in wanting to learn work to repair pipe organs and was looking for any books that would help.
Thanks for any help or suggestions

Re: Organ Repair
Here is one to start: Audsley: The Art of Organ-Building. Audsley is rather verbose but if you can get through it you will have some good information.
Something you must do in addition to reading: work with an organ technician. There is a lot more to it than can be found in a book.

Re: Organ Repair
Aloha steve,
Usually those who are serious about learning the trade of organ building/repair have done work for a firm. *Yes, there are those who because of adeptness with tools of many different types and an excellent background in electronics technology give themselves out to be organ repair pros. Sadly, they cause more damage than do good - they operate on the principle that *there is a sucker born every minute*.
Send some resumes, CV, and the like to the different American firms like Wicks, Fisk, Schantz, Schoenstein or to European firms like Klais, Sauer, Oberlinger, Rieger. *What would really help is if you attended an organ building school. *Here the most well-known one:
Wapedia - Wiki: Rieger-Kloss
Cheerio,
