    31A scrim cloth replacement

Can`t find the procedure, other than"Easily replaced".Seems like the drum has to have clearance at either the top or the bottom,so not that easy?

You need to remove the drum.

Yes, you do need to remove the speaker. (Not positive but that's how all later model Leslies are put together.) Two of the speaker screws also hold down the rotor bearing bracket. Lift up rotor bearing bracket, and then the rotor itself lifts out through the speaker hole.

There may be other ways to do it that I don't know about. I don't own a 31 series.

Yes it does. Sadly, there is no "quick" way to accomplish this job. The 31A has a screw mount at the top of the shaft...

It also needs to be disassembled from the bottom:

When Joey decides to paint something red, he doesn't do it by half-measures
I'm David. 'Dave' is someone else's name.

My 31A is "hot-rodded!" Plus, I am color blind. So when I decide to go "color," I have to go all in

Once I got the top bracket off,I was able to slip it over the top of the drum and work it down.
