Jethro tull. organs
I just wonder what combo organ jeffrey hamond plays in the band jethro tull...i maybe think its a rhodes. and they have a portable pipe organ in the album songs from the wood..folk music..its very cool. i wonder if anyone know anything about the organs they used...??!!

I didn't know Jethro Tull had any organ in their songs. You wouldn't be thinking of the recorder, (or whatever it is), that Ian Anderson used to play, are you?
I could see how that might sound like an organ on old recordings.
Rhodes usually refers to a type of electric piano, by the way.
Edit: Now that I think about it, there is a good chance that they threw some Hammond in there.
Also, Wikipedia states that John Evan was keyboardist for Jethro Tull

your right , its John Evan and David palmer that playd organs or keyboards.
the album songs from the wood have pipe organ in it and a combo organ. i have seen it on a video. some tull songs with organ and pipe organs: hunting grl, velvet green. you never heard a organ in their songs? wierd.

Okay, I'm watching a video of Velvet Green right now, there several keyboards... I see a tonewheel Hammond, likely a C3 , some thing with 88 keys; probably an acoustic piano, something that looks like a Mellotron.....

Oh, you are right. They do have a portative organ.
For a band that I have never noticed organ in, they are packing keyboard instruments like Yes.

I think they usually come in kits for around $300.
