Private Messages
Dear "Admin",
When I get a private message (or PM), there is an instruction to click on a link at the bottom to reply. Yet when I do that I get a message that the link has been removed by the administrator. Therefore I need to go back to the forum, find the particular thread and member I wanted to reply to, click on the name and choose the option "send a private message."
Is there a reason why this link has been disabled? Sometimes I would like to just chat with another member, but not do it in the forum and bump up threads in the process.
This is of course simply a prelude to eventually exchanging email addresses (if we mutually agree) and then the forum need not be concerned.
Any input here? Many thanks and cheers.

Re: Private Messages
I think you may be confusing the private message notification email with the actual private message. The actual private message appears in your Organ Forum Inbox. Access your Inbox after logging in by clicking the Inbox link in the upper right corner of any page.
If you'll forward me a copy the notification email you received, I can look into why the reply link isn't working, but I think this link just takes you to your inbox.

Re: Private Messages
When I read a private message I see this at the bottom:
Click on the link below to reply to the private message.

When I click on that I get the following:
The post you requested cannot be found or no longer exists. The administrator or moderator may have deleted the post.

Re: Private Messages
Again, let me clear about the terminology. The link you are referring to is in an EMAIL NOTIFICATION not the private message. The private message is in your Forum Inbox not your email inbox. You have to log in to the Organ Forum to view and reply to it.
The EMAIL NOTIFICATION contains a copy of the content of the private message, but it is not the private message.
In this particular case, the person who sent you the private message likely deleted it before you tried to reply to it. Log into the Forum, click Inbox in the upper right corner of any page. If there's no message there, the sender deleted it before you could read it.

Re: Private Messages
Got it, thank-you. I was confused because these messages come to my email which I always check before entering the "forum".
Cheers,
Jason
