Hello from New Member
Hello,
Thisis Ryan from New Jersey and I've been playing Hammonds since the early 70's starting with an M-3 and later a C-3 with two Leslie 147's. In the 80's I sold my Hammond and switched exclusively to synths.. In the 90's I played Vox Continental and Gibson organs with The Soft Parade, a New Jersey-based Doors tribute band. The last few years I've gotten back to Hammonds beginning with an L-122, M-101,and then an M-102. Last year Iacquired an excellent1962 C-3 and Leslie 122 which I play almost every day. I'm especially into 60's rock and 70's prog-rock. I also play classical and jazz standards. Looking forward to some interesting discussions.

Welcome, Ryan,
That you play your C3 almost every day says enough about that organ. Not so experienced myself, mainly guitar player an secondary keys.I guess you thought you would never again bearsuch a heavy load after you bought the keyboards in the 80s. Vintage sounds arecoming back in a big way, especiallywhere keys are concerned. For some years now prices forWurlitzers 200 series, Rhodes pianoand also Hammonds are steadily rising.
Really interested in how you would compare the L and M models you've owned to the C3.
still welcome (back!)

Welcome!
Doors tribute band, eh? Sounds like fun. I've never laid hands on a Vox or Gibson organ, unfortunately. At some point I want to have a Vox, a Gibson, and a Farfisa, but all of those are harder to come by than Hammonds.
