Back in the '70s, I attended a small Christian Science church and the soloist used to sing a song called "Wings". I don't know who wrote it or what company published it, but part of the lyrics went like this:

"There's a turbulent stream
At the foot of a ledge
Whose waters are dashed into foam.
But high overhead,
On the cliff's broken edge,
A tree makes its perilous home..."

It goes on to describe the precarious nature of the habitat, but relates that

"...A little bird lights
On a bent spray and sings
For it knows God has given it wings."

It continues, relating the scene to the human condition of finding oneself in the middle of danger but being able to let go of fears and trust God because He has given us "wings" as well.

I would dearly love to find a copy of the music for this and I've done some internet searches, but they have been fruitless. Would anyone here know of a place to start looking?
