Hi Michael - sorry that I am interjecting here on Mark and getting a little off topic, but I can answer this for you – as my wife and I are co-chairs for the next ROS gathering. The ROS website will have the links to the gathering soon. In the meantime, there is a preview video on the Reed Organ Society YouTube Channel - http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=rNk-cfEICbE or at www.reedorganfest.com

Now back to the Dominion – my guess is 463 reeds, 6x28 bass, 7x33 treble, 2x32 pedal, 15 sets total. If it will never be an organ again there is a supply of reeds and good stuff there to stock a small hobbyist for a while and make many other reed organs into fine instruments again.

For those that are badgering me to save it, you know me enough that I would be crazy enough to do it. I already picked up organs in Oshawa and Cobourg, Bowmanville is between the two. Unfortunately I have to pass on it, as it would just sit and continue to be nothing for many years in storage. Ask me again after next year and I might have a different opinion

So, jdoc, you now know what you have to do: persuade your sister to keep the remains dry in her barn until the end of next year, at which point a certain reed organ enthusiast will be in touch! We all know it makes sense!

    Cheers,

    Mark.

Then make it the "door prize" for the gathering; a raffle. The winner restores it and brings it to the next gathering after that.

I guess if they knew what the prize was, nobody would buy a ticket! Imagine me winning it and having to take it home on the plane!

I think it is a Dominion, I had a nice one years ago but it was not tuned a440, drove me nuts as I like to play multiple keyboards and play along with records, the one i had had patented "Mouseproof Pedals", that is why it survived i think
