According to Blue Book, it's somewhere in this bunch:

    500 - 1955 s/n 5000
    510 - 1957 s/n 501647
    530 - 1957 s/n 503222
    531 - 1958 s/n 503695
    532 - 1958 s/n 504612
    533 - 1959 s/n 578400

The photos in Blue Book start with the 540 and this one doesn't have enough tabs for that.
It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

The people who are offering it for a very low price mentioned in their ad that it is a model 513. I am wondering if they transposed the numbers 531. It is a tube model, and does not have percussion.

Sure looks like one of the original Minuets, covered by this service manual:
    500/510/530/531/532/533 Minuet (1955 thru 1959)

This is more than likely the 531 and it will have sustain, which began on the 531 and 532 models. The 531, 532 had Attack and Percussion as options. If you can find an image of the actual ID plate it is very easy to google the various 7 digit patent numbers listed on the plate. Then, without necessarily having to get a manual you can use the highly detailed circuit description and drawings in the patent documents to see how effective the attack and percussion might be for instance...no pun intended.

You aren't going to lose with this Conn- it's not huge, it's got plenty of tonal value, and it looks beautiful! Hopefully you can get them to come off of the bench. Tell them the bench is vital to the organ's future and that no bench looks good but the original one that came with the organ. Offer them $30 if you must.

Organ, free. Bench $30! Don't laugh - it's happened before now. As Paul says, it's a basic organ, warm sound, but do be prepared to put in some TLC to get it into top order and keep it there.

It doesn't have the bench with it which is disappointing to me. I might be able to find a suitable one in the couple of larger thrift stores around town if I decide to purchase this organ. I sent a bench to the Salvation Army last year that came from a Hammond, and it was taking up space. Then I sent an old Baldwin to the Goodwill, and it had Kimball bench with it. I do wish I had shown that organ w/out the bench in front of it since the organ needed a lot of work to bring it back to proper playing condition.

I had not intended to purchase any more organs, but as you know the "fever" can still strike most any time. You cure it by getting what you want or doing like Benjamin Franklin "paying too much for the whistle."
