On Ordering New Music

Hey everyone. I've been getting music catalogs in the mail left and right and was just wondering if any of you church musicians out there ordered new music every year and if so how much. I'm planning on stretching out the churches music budget quite a bit! haha

I always used JW Pepper. Concerning how much, that's a matter of budget. Try to get audio samples and printed samples so you can get a sense of how well the music/choral parts are written. If it's organ music, then there are plenty other resources. Be more specific, and we can be more specific in return.

If you're talking about choral music alot will depend on variables like your current selection of quality choral anthems available, and your music budget. If you already have a good library of appropriate and well written pieces, you can suplement that with a few new pieces a year without breaking the budget.
