Power supply caps shorting out?? Just a guess. What ever you find it is that's causing the problem please post back with the results
My Allen Theater III (called the Tom Hazelton Special) seems to be overloading a breaker on one of the black boxes in the console. I will be playing along and then half the stop quit. When I reset the red button all is well...then. The thing is not set to play load since it's in the house soooo. Any Suggestions out there?

A common reason for this failure is often the resettable breaker just getting old and tripping at a lower current than it is designed to. An easy way to determine if this is the case is to replace or have replaced the resettable breaker with one of the same type and value (they are relatively cheap, and should be easily replaceable providing you can get to it without having to dismantle too much. If the new breaker continues to trip then tracking down the problem will be a little more difficult and costly. First thing I would do is replace the failsafe device.
Hi Pilcher, I would start troubleshooting, with your symptoms, using an "Infrared Thermometer". They are fairly reasonable today. Take the back off and with the organ on aim the gun at various components. Filter caps, resistors, fuses whatever. What's running the hottest. It will help you zero in. Good luck. Marty
