I'll take another look at the CPA deluxe diagram but in the meantime ... on the 11-pin side jumper pin 4 to pin 5 and see if that solves things.

About the foot switch speed switching in general ... The speed switches should ground out pin 6 for fast, and pin 7 for slow - this is on the 9-pin side remember - they correspond to different pin numbers on the 11-pin side) ... but it is also possible not to have either grounded if the switches are in "off" position. It is a little "weird" because the "slow" button will either set the motors to slow or off, and then the fast button will switch from fast to off, or fast to slow, depending on how the first button is set.

Let me know if jumpering pin 4 to pin 5, on the 11-pin socket remember! - fixes the problem.

I just looked at the CPADeluxe schematic and of course on a 9-pin the control ground is shared with the audio ground - just had to confirm that. Wasn't thinking of the shared ground there - sorry. However over on the 11-pin side it is probably necessary to connect the audio ground to the control ground. So jumper pin 4 to pin 5 on the 11-pin socket. Let me know if that works. If not then we have to troubleshoot further. Did the CPA Deluxe ever work correctly with a 9-pin leslie?

Also in my earlier post today I mangled a pin number - corrected the entry - ignore that if you have a copy of the post e-mailed directly to you!

Did jumpering pin 4 to pin 5 on the 11 pin socket fix the motor control issue?

Bingo! You did it! sounds amazing, I not quite sure it sounds a good as my a-100 & 147, but still sweet. I never received an email from you and I am not sure if I can just post my phone # here. or email address. Let me know so we can talk adapter. Big weight off my shoulders!! it works!! I am happy , can you tell?

Excellent! It won't sound the same as a 147 - the 815 has solid state amp, rotosonic drum, stationary low pedal frequencies. That is normal. Also the A100 organ folds back on the upper notes and a spinet does not. Again, normal difference in sound. Hope you enjoy it for what it is. I'll respond to your PM.

Oh I see you are using a Korg with the 815. - not a spinet Hammond. Either way, a different sound. That's OK. Enjoy!
