    HI,
Your thought are in line with mine. This fellow seems nice and easy going. When he finally said he wanted $3000 for the B3 with the Hammond tone cabinet I felt that fair. I need to get back to him and am trying today. I was sort of waiting him out let him sit on it. Bought from a friend's mother two years ago and never had hooked up. In fact I realized he didn't seem to even have the power cord. I was thinking offer him $1000 and see what he said. He didn't offer any idea as to what he paid and then he had to pay someone to move it about 150 miles. Pretty sure they were just movers and didn't lock the TG. Suppose there is a problem due to that? Going to try to see him again today. He has been oiling and turning as I told him to do. Vibe back if you will. THANKS AL

Moving can cause wires to come loose, which is an easy fix with a soldering iron.

If he gets the thing working, it will be worth more. Not working is worth less. You did yourself a disservice by helping him to fix it.

Just about anything on a tonewheel Hammond can be fixed. It's just a matter of how much time it takes.
