almost as much fun as playing them. My total Hammond/Leslie acquisition fund can not exceed $1000.
Still have room for 1 more bargain (looking at a L right now) or another toy must go. (self imposed rule to prevent a harsher ruling from a higher power) LOL Take it easy time does fly

I've also arranged to purchase [over time] 3 Conn pipe speaker units [2-145's, and 1-'symmetrical' 145], and a nice Leslie 351. This will take into next year, but the seller is working with me. Now I have to learn about the install/set-up procedures for Conn Pipes.. I've been reading a lot of info about the 650.. and it seems that when it comes to tone, it's rather subjective. One person said to disconnect the 6"x9" internal speaker because it makes the high-end portion of the Tibias sound 'harsh'. I'll do some experimenting once the 650 gets here. I've already put up a calendar in my room where I'm 'checking off' the days until arrival! wee-e-e-eee

riddle me this? what is a Leslie 351...a...Theater style Leslie.?
I love theater organ but don't play it personally. Used to be a restaurant in Toronto called the Organ Grinder...with a Wurlitzer Theater organ .....what a dinner show!

From what I discovered, the Leslie 351 came in two versions.. Here's a nifty link to read about it [and others]:
