Favourite UK Cathedral Organ
Hi,
I am wondering if any of you have a favourite cathedral organ in the UK(eihter from playing or listening). I have always liked St Pauls, London organ and I have heard that Blackburn Cathedral organ is very good also.
Any opinions?

Re: Favourite UK Cathedral Organ
By far, my favorite is the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral organ. Ian Tracy has several excellent CD's. The combination of the Willis/Harrison & Harrison 250 or so ranks along with the superb acoustic of the Cathedral are just marvelous.

Yes I've played Blackburn too, both before and after the rebuild and I agree it was enhanced. One of the most exciting organs I've played or heard.

I have played on Southwark Cathedral organ a few years ago and at All Souls, Langham Place, but my favourite organ from what I have heard about it is Norwich Cathedral. I soooooooo want to have a go at it.
