Please read all of the following information and conditions:

The organ is installed in the sanctuary of the former Delaware Street Baptist Church in Syracuse, New York. It is for sale by the congregation, having moved to another, much smaller building, who regrettably does not have room to take this grand instrument with them. The organ is voiced appropriately for a large sanctuary with a seating capacity of approximately 1500.

The organ is in excellent condition, and was professionally maintained regularly by kerner and Merchant Pipe Organ Builders of East Syracuse, NY. It was used for the last worship service in May 2005.

It is the desire of the congregation that the organ be kept intact and that preference be given to those parties interested in continuing to use the organ in a house of Christian worship, to the glory of God, and the service of His church.

Professional removal required and is available locally if needed, the cost of which is to be the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

    Asking price $20,000.

    Historical Notes:
This organ was contracted and designed for the newly rebuilt building after a devistating fire in 1958 destroyed nearly everything except the exterior walls of Delaware Street Church.

Herman L. Schlicker, was present at the dedication service and was introduced to the congregation on March 4, 1962.

"German-born Hermann Schlicker who built primarily classic neo-Baroque organs, was a pioneer of American organbuilding." "In September 2002 the Schlicker Organ Company of Buffalo, New York closed its shop for the last time and the contents of its facility in Buffalo, New York were auctioned off. The company, while continuing to build splendid instruments, had been plagued for many years by various financial and cash flow problems and could no longer stay in business."

Could you give an idea of the amount of space the chestwork occupies? The space I have available is 28'Wx7'Dx17'H.
