As for the Piano voicing of that era well yeah, I agree with you; actually to my way of thinking not many analogue keyboards' piano voices did pose much of a threat to Steinway & Sons aye!!

- 'The man with the child in his eyes' and 'Georgia'. It's great to hear the D-85 played by a pro for a change, rather than a bungling hopeful like myself! It really was a versatile machine wasn't it? I've played (on and off) and been a fan of the D-85 since I was about 14 or so and always thought that the pianos on all the Yams of that era lacked sparkle. And we all overdid the slight portamento thing on the mono solo voices - because we could!
