    Leslie Installation

I have a couple questions about how to install a Leslie Cabinet with an M1 that does not have any adapter parts or anything for the leslie.

    1. Would I be able to do it myself with time and an instruction manual or something like that
    2. Does it make a difference on the Hammond adapter side as to which leslie it is.
    3. Would I need to have some technical understanding about wiring and the like in order to install it myself?
    4. Would it be better to just buy a Leslie online at a vendor, or to try and find one at a garage sale and hopefully get it for cheap?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

    Re: Leslie Installation

You will need a working knowledge of the organ and leslie to make the hookup yourself. If not connected correctly.....poof there goes the Leslie or organ. There would be specific parts used to connect a specific lesie to your spinet. All the info you really need is available online. Try a goole search for "Hammond Wiki". there is a lot of good info there.

If in doubt and you have the budget, call an organ tech. Also buying a used Leslie could be a can of worms unless you know the seller or know how to check it out presale. Good luck, I hope it works out.
