Hammond BC and Hr40 into a...

Leslie Combo II stomp box and 9 pin out to a power relay junction and then on to 2 Leslie 760's.

    Did I lose anyone?

I know about the wiki line-out but can anyone give me there opinions on connecting these items all together? I have heard mixed reviews on the schematic listed there. The chorus is sweet but I can't wait to hear this thing thru 2 Leslie's, even if they are solid state.

Oh, I transplanted the run motor from my 1949 M into the BC and the chorus generator now works (previous post)!

    Thanks,

    Mike

Well, normally you connect the signal hot wire to one of the G terminals and the ground to chassis ground. The BC will require B+ for the preamp to work unless you have made provisions for that already.

I will be keeping the HR40 in the loop for sound and for DC voltage. I just don't want to mess up the BC amp by hooking a line-out incorrectly. One of the G-G terminals is already connected to ground...

Use this resistor, that resistor, this cap, no cap...I'm confussed...it's either easier than I imagine or harder...hence I'm hesitant.

I love my BC and I don't want to see it smoke.

Not sure why one G is grounded...

You don't need any resistors or caps...The Combo pre pedal has a 1/4" input, correct? I.e. as is, you can plug any line level signal, say, a guitar, and play through both leslies. If so, you need a 1/4" patch cable to deliver the GND and one G terminal from the preamp to the pedal. Either take some wires and connect GND/G to a female 1/4" jack and mount it in the organ. Or you can take a 1/4" patch cable and cut one end off and connect it directly to the pre-amp terminals.

    hope this helps

Neither G terminal should be connected to ground under any condition. They are both signal lines that are 180 degrees out of phase. (Balanced) Connecting an unbalanced line is to go from one G and to ground. The other G is vacant. You can still connect a balanced line to Both G terminals.

You don't need any resistor or cap. Some use a resistor or two to lower the rather hot signal level coming out of the preamp. As long as you can turn it down on the other end, no problem.

You cannot smoke the preamp working on the signal lines.

Oops...my mistake. There is a jumper wire from grd to a P terminal my memory failed me and I thought otherwise.

Thanks for the input. I almost tried it tonight but I'm too tired. Saturday I cut the end from a 1/4" cable. Ground wire to grd lug on amp and hot to G. I'll test the output and determine attenuation by the results. I have a DI to try as well. I'm planning on some noise from the preamp pedal but hopefully not too much.

    I really appreciate the input.

Oh, I can leave the G-G connections that are there for the tone cabinet, right? Just double up on one?

Yes, you can leave the tone cabinet connected. The jumper from P to gnd is normal.
