What Is Your Favorite Forum Style Setting?

You can choose from various color schemes and looks from the drop down list in the footer. Which is your favorite? The results of this poll will be used to determine the default style that guests and new user see when visiting The Organ Forum.

I voted for Blackened, but I rather liked the StyleGen Blue from the prior group of selections.

Of the choices offered, I much prefer "Blackend", but I voted for "other" expecting a way to enter an example URL so here it is:
    http://www.talktemplate.com/forum.php?styleid=34

What I like about the example is that the top fades to grey slightly so when you are scrolling you have an indication of where you are on the page.
Also, the graphic could be modified to a more organistic (pipe organ?) theme...

I just want something easy to read. This black backgroud with gray letters I find difficult. I'm old and pushing 50 and I shouldn't have to put my nose in the monitor to read the words. Any color combination is fine with me just make it easy to read!

Keep in mind that regardless of what becomes the default style for the Forum, you always have the option of permanently selecting a style more of your liking from the style list. Just make sure you are signed in when you do it.

I know that for some, light text on dark backgrounds is harder to read than the more conventional dark text on light background, while for others it's reversed. That's why they'll always be a choice here. Just want to be clear on that.

    More changes?

After I voted and made positive remarks regarding BlackEnd style - something changed and the words are no longer as bold and the grey is harder to read than whatever was there before (which was admittedly 'in-your-face' but still readable).

Also, I'm not sure why replying to a message offers a place for a new title, but when you submit, the new title doesn't show. EDITED: It did show this time ("More Changes" was the title, but it's still in the same thread).

I liked the text used for the signatures, but not for the message content.

    Hi all,

Of the choices offered, my two favorites are Default and Simple Black, in that order. I am one that does not like a lot of bright colors when I am reading fora. I also prefer dark text on a light background.

    Later,
    Allen

P.S. I voted for the Default.

Nothing in the Blackend style has or was changed since it's been available here.

Might have been a different browser - not sure - but yesterday I was definitely getting some very bold type set at one point (perhaps it was only during preview of post mode? Or a prior style?) Current grey is a bit light and low contrast for use with Google Chrome (under Windows) - It's more readable on Firefox (Ubuntu Linux) probably due to different default browser settings on my end, although the LCD screens are identical models and resolutions. In summary, I'm thinking light grey on dark grey may not be ideal for broadest readability, although it sure looks cool!

I voted for "Default style" but I could also happily live with "Simple Black Fixed".

Can't stand Blackend, Blackend Red & Stylegen Purple, the colours are too garish and distracting. Pass the sick bucket!
