How much for a Hammond A-100 (a100) with no leslie connector

I'm looking at buying a Hammond A-100, looks like its in pretty good condition, for $750. Whats the average price of this type of organ? I'd like to know some thoughts from you all to see if this is a good deal.

I have seen them selling for 0-1000$ in my area. The ones on the lower side of that price scale usually need work. If it all works well, that price seems within reason. I got lucky and got mine , which was non-working, for nothing but I had to put about 18 hrs of labor in to get it looking and working well.

I agree with BBB here. I also got an A100 free (mine didn't happen to need work though): buthe and I areboth in the NE where there's a pretty high population density overall in the region. So I imagine they come up more often here than is likely for you out in Kansas. So I'd say $750 is probably a good deal if it's in reasonable shape... and that's the beauty of A100s, they're almost always in very good shape because they were home instruments. Do realize though, unless you get really lucky you're looking at spending at least that much again to pick up a good Leslie and get it fitted up with all the proper connecting gear.

    good luck-

If it's in good working order, and you're willing to pay, it's probably a fine price... it is a console, after all. Never hurts to see if they'll negotiate. Of course, I'm another one of the lucky oneswho gotan A-100 for free (it was my wife's grandmother's).

An A100 for $750, if it's in nice shape that's a deal IMO. You can spend years waiting for a cheaper one to come along
