Organs for sale on Craig's List

Since Craig's List is becming more popular, I thought a thread like the "E-bay Organs" one could be useful.

Here is a FREE Conn organ in the SF Bay area. Might be good for a practice organ.

    CraigsList Organs for Sale

We have an eBay thread, so I thought I'd start this one.

What does anyone think of this particular organ? It's been for sale forever even though they're in a hurry. Wonder why it isn't selling--price? technology?

Actually, I'm negotiating with the preist at this very moment for the organ.

My understanding is that several different people are looking at it but no one has made a commitment. It's in a small chapel in South Georgia and they are moving somewhere. There is also at least one music committee looking but they have asked for more time to think about it.

I think it's over-priced a bit but it's the only organ my wife has really liked the physical appearance of since I started looking for another practice organ.

I'll let you know what happens if you're interested.

I am interested in hearing what happens--especially hearing recordings once you have it set up and voiced. It's such an odd instrument--one-of-a-kind, so I'm curious to know more about it.

    Thanks for replying so quickly.

Please don't misunderstand my post. I haven't bought it yet and will notif the price doesn't come down.

Did you see the FREE Conn 3 manual theatre organ advertised?? It was on Craigslist herea couple of weeks ago. If I was inclined to go withgutting an organand adding MIDI I would have taken that one and risked divorce. Not only was it free but the owner offered to haul it within a reasonable distance. What a deal for someone so inclined as the organ had serious mice damage to to the electronics!!
