Cool,The J100 was one of those transistor spinets offered by hammond wasn't it?,I know just how you feel concerning moving the chopped T!!!,My E-100 is pretty much chopped having the speakers and...

Thanks brendon:->,those are pretty much the voltages I come up with on the voltmeter I was just unsure if certain wires got ganged to increase the voltage. I got adventurous and was trying different...
Can anyone inform me as to the list of voltages produced by the power transformer from the hammond t400?,what are the 2 tan and red striped wires for on the primary side?thanks:-P
when I say junk I mean lots of good stuff I have floating about,I'm not going to buy what I probably already have
just checked both supply cans and c9 is measuring zilch, all other voltages in the cans are way off, both need replacing as well as all the coupling caps,I hope I can dig some out of my junk surplus...
the vibrato line output is working as it should but all other audio out's are just thump- thump- thump -thump,I'm gonna try and muster up some caps today

will do that
I picked up an AO-10b that looks really clean but is motorboating really bad at the g-g outputs,I get no audio passing thru at all on the gg terminals only a very loud pulsating noise, the vibrato...
47 BV switches still holding up,tho somtimes the start switche don't engage if pushed to far,the contact element is wearing down no doubt
this guy sent me an email saying the ad was a gag,so there yo go
hey wes,you might want to do a wiggle check on all those keys while you have at it,no sense having to take it back apart again when the next handful break(if there's cracked up ones in the lot)
also noticed the arcing only occurs on a cold power-up,starting to really sound like it might be a bad tube
I'll give that a go,when I first got this E the preamp was doing this same kind of arcing but eventually stopped, this organ sat for 25-30 years without ever being powered on,there was a lot of dry...
thanks organsR4Me for the offer,I think I 'm going to pass on the baldwin, funny the owner emailed me and said its a 55a not a 54a,any difference other than small production changes?
whats kinda odd is that the amp (apart from the arcing noise at power up) is very quiet and sounds good, this is not usually the case with an amp that needs new high voltage electroylitics,I wonder if...
thanks ofm,for the info:-)
I was thinking about perhaps saving this baldwin,I'll take a guess and say 1950's by the case style,if so then I imagine its a tube oscillator organ, the owners say it don't work, what is the tube...
well found the problem,as suspected its an arc, where the reverb rca jack send is is where it's arcing, there's 2 high voltage caps there and one is shooting out a mini lightning bolt to the side of...
I know I'll get flogged for saying this but I don't consider these things hammond organs any more than I consider a computer program a hammond organ(thank you sir may I have another)
funny you say that, when I first picked this E up the preamp had an arcing cap and it sounded just like this "clicking' noise,I need to pull the amp and watch it downside up and power it on,that...
I agree with brendon,a hammond tonewheel organ is never dead until its given up on,heck you don't even need all the electronics inside the T to use it,as long as the motor is running then its...
it's not the sound of glass expanding and contracting, its coming from inside the amp,,I notice if the power cable of the preamp is unplugged whilst the organ is being powered up theirs several...
I've been having the same idea's as well,I've got a spare twg from a T400,the harp sustain and cymbal crash boards have been removed from my E-112,the percussion has been replaced with a unit made by...
wow just dug out the old 5 prong round plug that goes into the perc side of the amp and thats all she needed!!,I thought for some reason the signal was gated but without the reit circuitry its just a...
I notice on a cold power up the tubes in the main amp glow very bright rather quickly then settle down to what looks like normal operation, right then I here a distinct"click"noise they reminds me of...
Thought I would check the voltage going to the preamp on the E-100 and it was measuring between 350-400 volts, that seemed kinda high to me,I know this is one of hammond more powerful amps so is...
