On my 317, channel 5 is used for second touch.
You'll want a very, very good headset. The organ in the picture on the left is in an apartment, and when my upstairs neighbor is in, I use a headset with it. The moderately priced headset I use...
026 keypunch... boy does that bring back memories. I was able to copy the Allen cards on it... if I did it one column at a time. Never could do it on a 029 and 129.

That organ in the first post has a 32-note "princess" pedalboard. My mother has a 435 (original owner). I learned a lot of good stuff on that organ, including using both feet on the pedals.
I have a much more complex version of the sheet music (had it all memorized at one time) somewhere in my music bookcase. Got it from my piano teacher 20+ years ago.
Hopefully it won't be as bad as the "Great Blizzard of 1888":
The Great Blizzard of 1888 or Great Blizzard of '88 (March 11 – March 14, 1888) was one of the most severe recorded blizzards in the...
On my MDS-317 I spray a silicon spray on pistons that stick. Thus far it has worked quite well.
The MDC line was the low end of Allen organs at the time. They were, as the ads at the time said, "Low prices are only half of it...Modified Digital Computer (MDC) tone generation, by Allen,...
I've had rattles coming from the strangest of places. In one Church, the rattle only showed up with the 32' pedal stop, at the back end of the chapel, no where close to the speakers. At home,...
I wish I could find an organ teacher near where I live (none in the phone book!). I could always learn more. For instance, transposition on the fly (like when using a fake book and wanting to do a...
My mother has an Allen 436-TH, about the same vintage as the 601 and is also a MOS-1 instrument. It still works quite well (the capture doesn't, but that's because she let the battery die and I...
Here's what was in "The Diapason" from 1961:

You might want to check here in IE8: Go to Tools >>> Internet Options >>> Content >>> AutoComplete.
Not much can be done... play the prelude louder, and they get louder. The worst part is they know better.

The MDS-15 would have been manufactured somewhere between 1990 and 1996 inclusive (the list I have doesn't show it specifically, but that's the general timeline of the MDS series). I found one ad...
Never thought of playing it in 6/8. Nice!
This site might give you some ideas what could be coming in: http://www.lds.org/cm/display/0,17631,8549-1,00.html Owner's Manuals for Church Organs. I would guess anything from some MOS-1 organs...
None of the Allen organs listed has MIDI. I believe that didn't occur until the later ADC models (1980's).
Opinions vary wildly. I think the digital Allen's sounds better than any...
