  1. The day I bought the organ I brought it home on my little trailer used for moving small tractors. It was 100 miles each way to get the organ. As it had been raining a little bit I covered the organ with my motorcycle tarp and tied everything down with heavy straps. We have no neighbors or anyone around to help so my wife and I brought it in the house ourselves. I put her end up on a set of wheels and lifted the other end myself. It's pretty heavy but we managed to get it inside and set up without damage.

Do you study British or American English? There is some difference. I have noticed you always misspell the word "first" as "firts". It is a small thing but I would like to help you with your English if I may?

I like the looks of your Technics organ. It appears to have many features I don't understand and seems to be much newer than my old Whurlitzer. How are you doing with it?

Thank you again for your kind words,

    Jim

  2. I have always loved organ music especially from a big organ. It saddens me that many churches today are giving up their organs to have a band instead. It seems no one wants to learn organ anymore so, instead of complaining about that, I decided to learn myself. Our church has a nice pipe organ but no one plays it in the Summer because the organists is on vacation. They use the piano instead and I don't like it.

My Whurlitzer organ came from a church that wanted to make room for their new band. I can't tell for sure but believe it to be about 30 years old. Everything seems to work on it and it only cost me $125.00. It has two full 61 key keyboards, a 25 key petalboard, built in leslie and many other features I know little to nothing about. It is set up to run additional speakers also but, for our small house, the internal speakers are far more than enough.

  3. Good morning Steve,

Thank you for the nice complements on my animals. Toby is the dog and, as you can probably tell, he is very big. He and Jessie often sleep together as they are very good friends but, Jessie is actually my cat. Toby has his own cat and her name is Lila. We live in the country, far from any big cities, and have a cat for inside the house and another for the barn. Lila doesn't like people at all, she only likes Toby and runs to great him whenever he is outside the house. It is a very strange relationship that provides many hours of entertainment for us.

My wife and I are both 58 years old. She has no interest in music at all and I only played a bit of trumpet many years ago in junior high school. This is the first time in my life to ever work with a keyboard. I did remember a bit of how to read music but only upper staff (right hand) only. I have much to learn and will need many years of practice I think.

I never touched the keyboard, and as I explained at the forum post, first I bought myself a second-hand Italian Milton, but he left work after two days. In the shop, they offered me, for the same price, the Technics SX-U60, much more complete as above. I have benefited from the change, because the Technics was much more expensive. Like you, I'm newbie to this, and I know I will never play full advantage of the organ. But it is important in music to have fun and enjoy. I've organ and guitar for all life, and now I have to slowly learn to play.

The organ perfect works, and its shape is like a new. The firts owner was able to preserve in a good conditions. If not for a little dirt in the corners, and dust from the innerr, seems out of factory!!!

Well, you explain me from you and your Wurlitzer. I tried to find any photo on the net but can not find enough.

Make a caress your two friends!!!

    Best regards.

    Steve.

    Hi Snowbandit.The honor is mine!!!

Certainly there are people on the forums quite rare, ja, ja, ja....I do'nt get the guitar forums than anyone I answer my questions. But i'm not worry. I'm trying to learn what it reads.

A pretty photo of your dog and cat. Are you a lucky person.8-))))

My dog, Iona was her name, died on Valentine's Day in 2009, she was follow the Sun . Even now I miss her, after twelve and a half years of loyal and lovely company. Since missing her, i decided to learn to play the electric guitar, speak a bit english and now just start with the organ. (Continued)...
