How do I get to this area--the volume control in my Gulbranson organ.
  2. Hi John

Oops! Guess I don't check my Notifications as often as I should.

I've so far resisted all temptations to join Facebook, despite 'encouragement' from my son and daughter.

The price for a mint G100 seems fair. As for the sound, it's been a very long time since I played one as they are exceptionally rare over here. I've got that same demo record downloaded and it's awful. Even my long ago recollections tell me that the organ sounded far better than that. It was in a UK dealership, he'd traded it in (against a 3 deck Conn, if I recall) and just didn't know what to do with it. So no big acoustic space for it to fill and lots of noise from the generators getting in the way, but I was still impressed.

It is a piece of history as well as being an organ, so if I had the time space and resources, I'd have it just to make sure that it was preserved and played - it would go alongside the X66, of course. Just need to get the lotto numbers in the right order.

    Regards
    Andy

    hey andy..are you on facebook?

I have a guestion..>I NICE Hammond G100 has finally showed up with all the amplifiers and speakers in MINT MINT MINT shape.

they are asking 2800 which I think is a fair price.

but the only recording I have heard is that demonstration recording off an old record which is awful and makes the organ sound awful.

what are your thoughts on the G100 soundwise? think one is worth ALOT of effort to preserve or not?

    John

It's not what you play. It's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.
