Biography:
Brian Hamby is a Jazz/Gospel Pianist in Benton, AR. and teaches at Piano Kraft in Little Rock(www.pianokraft.com). He has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. Here he studied with the American Composer Dr. Marc Satterwhite.

Living in Austin, TX for many years, Brian performed on Austin's famous 6th Street and at the Elephant Room with Austin's top jazz performers. He played at the large Gateway Community Church in Austin until he became drawn to Black Gospel music. Brian was the organist and pianist at First Baptist Church in Lockhart, and was eventually promoted to Music Director under Pastor Edward Fleming, Sr.

Since moving to Benton he has played at Keith Jackson's P.A.R.K. Center and is currently the Organist and Pianist at Scope Ministries under Pastor Elvin Jackson. Brian has performed with Concert Violinist Oksana(www.ovationmusicacademy.com)and they have played at the Arkansas State Capital, The Royal Theatre and the Clinton Library. Brian has just recorded a jazz organ/drums duo with drummer Dave Rogers and are performing in the Little Rock area.

Brian's instruments include a vintage 1960s Hammond C3 Organ, a Hammond XK3 Pro Style Portable Organ, a Leslie 2101, a rack mount Kurzweil K 2000 RS and a Yamaha P90 piano. He is most commonly seen with the P90 and the Hammond XK3, either with the complete second manual and foot pedals, or just the XK3 by itself.

My Instruments: Hammond XK3 Pro Style with Leslie 2101, 1960s Hammond C3 Organ with Hammond Tone Cabinet, Yamaha P90 digital piano, Kurzweil K2000, Korg 707, an old Hammond chord organ and Baldwin pre Fun Machine organ previously owned by my grandparents that was responsible for biasing me against organs for most of my life, until I played an organ sound on my my K2000 with a rock band in 1998.
