Hi,
A newbie here....... Can anyone tell me about the Hammond Model L? Tone, drawbars etc.
I have an opportunity to buy one at a reasonable price.

I have had a 1962 L-101 for many years. I just love it. It sits along side my C-3. Keith Emerson used this same combination. On Tarkus he needed two manuals with percussion so he played with one hand on the C-3 and one on the L. He also did some amazing gymnastics with the L that eventually lead to a slipped disc in his back when it fell on him. The L is the same guts as a porta-B and does give you percussion on both the 4' and 2 2/3' hamonics at the same time which the B/C's can't do. It has built in reverb, but it does not have the scanner vibrato. There is a little info at: http://www.organstudio.com/l100engl.htm
