Is anyone familiar with Karg-Elert's Nun Danket Alle Gott, and if so how dificult a piece is it to play and sound good?

I tackled it myfirst year oforgan study, though I hadextensive piano background. I didn't think it terribly difficult: the manuals make no great demands and the pedalseldommoves independently.

Magnificent piece. It never fails to stir an audience in recital (if the instrument is up to it)and makes an impressive postlude. And compared to some of the difficulties Karg-Elert dishes out in the other choral preludes from the opus 65, this one is peaches!

At the risk of sounding like I'm rambling, my school has assembly every morning, which is mandatory for all students in the school and to aid students in knowing it is time for assembly (besides the bell and the fact that it is eight o'clock) music is played, and this is the piece that is played almost everyday (sometimes different music is used).

Yes, also did this many years ago, and it never fails to stir the soul.

In complete agreement here, Jason. Some of the other movements from this collection are rather impressive.

Lovely piece. Not difficult in my opinion. Makes a good postlude or recital piece. It's worth learning.
