Ok, i finally got a chance to take some pics of the ole girl.

She's a 2312M Concorde. I figured i would show you guys what you have been helping me with. You can also see the leslie motor that has been "whistling" (see Whistling Leslie thread)

*BEWARE* There are 10 pics, so it may take a while

If you dont know, I am working on restoring this organ back to its original royalty. Only a few things left. As you can see, the front legs (just for decor really...) have been broken off. I have one of them and i'm going to try and recreate them and attach them back to the organ. I just replaced the 4 million light bulbs in it 2 weeks ago. The leslie's O-Ring needs replaced (see the last pic).

Well, i guess this is just an appreciation thread for those that have helped me a little. I'm only 16 year old guy with a very tight budget and a big organ. Thanks!!

Sweet. :-)

I know the Concorde has its detractors, but it's an organ I have always liked. Played my first one (which dominated a tiny organ showroom in Hartlepool, UK) when I was 12 (I'm now 30), and it was one of the first Hammonds to really excite me.

Do you have the infamous issue with the lights causing electrical inteference? Is the arpeggiator strip working okay?

Thats cool! Never knew anyone really played these things! From what I hear, people hated them! Thats cool to hear that someone else started with a concorde like me!

Anyways, to answer your questions, Nope! The lights work fine and the apreggiator strip works like its brand new (besides a little dent in the gold plastic strip). I actually never knew that the gold strip was the arpeggiator until i took it home (got the organ for free from my church). I thought the switch turn an arp on for the keys, and the gold was just decoration!! HAHA! So i take it home to try it out and it doesn't work... so I think great. Then i try to pop the little dent out of the plastic and there goes the arp! I said "Oh! DER!!!" Hehehe

So, yeah no problems that you described. Which models did this happen to? I hear my model is the nicest one made (2312M). It was either $7,000 or $12,000 when the church bought it in the 80's. The people who bought it (two families split the cost) can't remember which it was. They were sad to hear that they were giving it away to me, but they know I will take care of it and play it.

Well, gots to study. College exams in the morning..... yuck!
