There was an article aboutBuxtehude in the New York Times recently (follow this link (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/19/arts/music/19buxt.html)), also advertising John Scott's performance of all of Buxtehude in the next few months. The first concert at St. Thomas Church was more packed than I'd ever seen at an organ concert. I must say I found the performances slightly boring. The audience, however, gavehim a big standing ovation, which is not a big deal really because it happens at almost every concert. One interesting thing I might add is that they didn't use the electric blower so that the sound would be more 'authentic'. Any thoughts?
