Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has had experience installing an Organ Mate unit on a Hammond B2? On a B3 - it looks like you plug the unit into one of the tube sockets on the preamp. The directions I found on the internet say: "series insertion is made in the preamp between capacitor C-7 and resistor R-7." It also says: "Organ Mate is best installed at a point in the organ preamp before or after the expression pedal, where the AC signal voltage on the softest stop of between .4 and 2.0 volts. This point is easily located with a vacuum tube voltmeter." (Not for me!)

I am not a technician, so I usually approach my electrical problems with a simplistic view like plumbing. So, my question is has anyone done this install? Where on my preamp would I break the signal and install the leads going to and from the Organ Mate? The instructions also say there was an adapter for B2's, but I'm guessing my chances of finding one of those are slim to none.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Johnny B.
