Grandma's Organ...We have the original brochure which is dated 1949
Hasn't been played in a few years and has
never been moved. Need to sell but don't know the value. We have
to get it out of the house and don't want to give it away. What is a fair
$$ amount

last one on here went for $300, and that was in LA.

I'd put it up on Craigslist asking for $500 or best offer. With a little patience you might get that much, but don't be surprised at less. Include a picture.

Is it working? That's absolutely a plus, but still worth something if it's not working.

Where are you located?

What kind of shape is the console (wood cabinet) in? If it's in "living room condition" I'd ask $1,500, if you don't know whether it plays. In playing condition I'd ask $1,800. If it doesn't move you can always adjust the price downward. Everybody wants the B cabinet, even though the same instrument in a C cabinet offers several advantages over the B (bump your knees a few times while sitting down or getting up and you'll know all about it).

BTW, are you in Northern Calif?

Located in Minnesota. The organ does work. There are some minor scratches on the cabinet and the finish on the bench
isn't great. I appreciate the feedback. We will be listing on Craigslist. Thanks

Good luck. As you saw, three very different opinions in value. Your patience and need to sell should influence what your starting price is.

Heres one in OC Calif which always seem to demand a higher price. I don't think this person will get it but who knows

Hey! That $300.00 "B" in LA was a BV and it was kind of rough. A B2 is a worth more. I would ask at least $1000.00 depending on condition. If the organ were around Kansas City I would buy it myself. On second thought, I might be interested anyway. What part of Minnesota?
I just checked Craig's List for B2's around Minnesota. There are two b2's that have been listed for weeks that have not sold. One is priced at $1000.00 and the other is $1100.00. I think this pretty much tells the current market.
(of course there are others listed for all kinds of crazy prices such as 3000.00 or 4000.00 but they are obviously not going to sell)

I contacted this seller about buying the instrument. She said that someone had already made arrangements to pick it up. OH! Well. The search continues.
