a Everett Orgatron from South Haven, Mich?
anyone know anything about this one? I'd be interested myself but the distance is too far.

The Everett Orgatron was similar to the early Wurlitzer electronic organs. It was actually a reed organ, I forget if they are pressure or vacuum reeds, but then there are pickups so the reed sounds get equalized and amplified. I think they had two or three ranks of reeds with lots of unification. Very solid console as I remember so maybe you could throw out the gots and midi the keys and stops and use Hauptwerk.

NYCFarmboy,
Search on the Forum for this. There is quite a comprehensive WurliTzer or Orgatron site that explains a lot.
My home parish had an Orgatron like this from the late 30s to the mid 50s. A very interesting instrument.

If you are interested in some historic documents on the Everett Orgatrons, I have two original technical manuals on them: one for the 600 and one for the 700. They're just $16.00 each plus s&h.
