There's a Hammond for sale on ebay at the moment, described as a Z-200. It looks like a derivative of the E series, but without the voiced percussions.
Anyone know anything about this model? I didn't think Hammond had used the letter Z.

Hi Andy,

I didn't take a look at ebay for the organ you are mentioning but I can say that there was an E-200 model which was a liturgicaly voiced version. The voiced percussion tabs were replaced by other voicing, some percussive and some sustained, such as chimes and harp.

It is a good possibility (by your description) it is an E-200 model they were selling. I will try to find it when I get time, that is if it is still listed. If I can shed any more light I'll leave another reply post.

I have about 5 E-200s in the area I cover as a Hammond organ tech.

I'd forgotten about the E200 as it's such a rare beast. Only see 100's and 300's these days. Could well be that they've simply misread the model number on the plate.
