Good Morning; I am hoping someone could help me out. The vibrato seems to have quit working on my L111. When you move the tabs it sounds the same whether the tabs are on or off. I am fairly new to this and maybe its just me? I haven't been able to play this for a while as the tone generator motor quit. I found one on Ebay and changed it out yesterday. Everything now works except the vibrato. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks and God Bless. Chaplain Curley

Was the vibrato working before youreplace the motor?

On the upper shelf on the left is the vibrato amp... one of the tubes in it is the oscillator for the vibrato, it's a 4742 (probably - there's two versions of the vibrato amp). Try cleaning the pins... another possibility is the cabling to the controls...

Yes, and yet another possibility is dirty flip-tab switches. I've had trouble with both the "drawbars" preset switch and the reverb switches, on L100s. Kind of a pain to rectify, but not really difficult. Open the top of the organ (watch those shims, they seem to want to take their chance to make a break for it at this point!); then it's just a matter of hitting the contacts with DeOxit or some other contact cleaner, and working the switch back and forth repeatedly.

By all means start with Peter's suggestion first, though.

I cleaned the contacts on the oscillator and the tubes and cables on the vibrato amp as all of you recommended, and lo and behold it now sounds great!!! Thanks so very much for your advise and concern for my old girl. It's great to hear it sound so good. Chaplain Curley
