hi everyone i was wondering if anyone out there had ANY jimmy smith sheet music. anythingin particular would be great. ive tried searching the net but i havent had any luck. id greatly appreciate any response. thank you.</P>

Many artist don't read or write music. I suspect Jimmy Smith was one of those. Sheet music would then have to be transcribed from the actual recordings. Typically, this kind of transcribing is inaccurate and/or simplified at best. I think the problem with this kind of jazz music is the incredible difficulty to transcribe. Lighting fast runs etc.</p>

Contact Scott Hawthorn on Hammondzone. He transcribes jazz organ. I have seen a transcription of "The Sermon" in their files section as well.</P>
