    Anybody Know This One??

This one popped up not far from me for peanuts.  No information on the brand or model but it looks almost familiar.  Can anyone ID the make and model, make any comments on the sound, etc.?

    Re: Anybody Know This One??

Well that's a first... I got back a prompt response from the seller via email and she identified it as a Lowrey Organ H25-3

I have no idea how one of these sounds but if I had a spare spot around here to sneak it into I'd spend the $20 just to see what it sounded like and save another instrument from the local landfill.  It is reported to be in excellent cosmetic and working condition.  Anyone have any experience with one of these?

Personally, I'd go for it. That's one Lowrey I wouldn't mind having around.

Garth Hudson of the band was known to play one. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WN7wrf4vaxs&feature=related

It seems like the one in the video is under heavy effects, like a ring modulator and possibly a wah.

Shopped a similar organ with symphonizer in January.   Almost bought it.  Tone was lighter than Gulbransen.   This is almost a giveaway.   If you have no competition with other buyers go for it!

    Re: Anybody Know This One??

Last and by far the best of the 'old school' Lowrey consoles. Brass and String symphonizers plus the 1960 / early 70's Lowrey sounds. Then some extras like Xylophone, marimba etc. Plus the auto rhythm from the GAK series. It's as big as a bus with a big sound.

It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

One of the greatest Lowreys built.  Hurry up before she changes her mind.
