I'm helping on a general renovation of a large Compton pipe organ, which has a Series Three Melotone (as yet unconnected). I'm told it works, but is barely audible. The expression contacts have been cleaned, and held shut for testing it. A previous opinion has been the preamplifier stage is faulty. Is there a schematic available for this unit's built in Ferranti amplifier (7 tubes, on a rack out front), with test voltages etc? I also need tube type information, in case of a bad tube, as this has been rubbed off.
I'm not holding out too much hope on this one, don't be too hard on me! But thanks in advance for any information there might be.
