That's what I was thinking.  Look like a typical registration from the 50's.

It surprises me that so many folks don't clean up the console of the organ they are trying to sell.  It would just take a minute to remove some of the dust; the result would be so much more attractive to buyers.

Dust or no dust, I would guesstimate the reasonable price for this organ would be more like $2500.  I owned one of these, but with the console attached to the cabinet, about 25 years ago.  I had the bottom 12 notes of a 16-foot wooden gedeckt standing behind the case.  Nice little practice organ for what it was.

Re: Pipe Organs for sale on Ebay

This appears to be a Fuga model from the mid-30s. The lower 12 notes of the pedal flute are from a free reed unit.  In the proper environment, they sound pretty decent.

I could have bought one earlier this year (with a case not nearly as nice as the one shown on eBay) for $3,500.  I declined as it was 3 ranks - a Salicional, Dulciana, and a Gedackt.  I ended up buying a 4 rank Wicks for the same price with a Fagotto, Gedackt, Diapason, and Salicional.  Also, the Wicks I bought had real pipes for the bottom octave of the pedal flute.

There is an organ like this on the Southern Indiana AGO site (www.siago.org) at a Catholic church in North Vernon, Indiana.  There are a couple of audio examples of this organ included.

For those of you who have not seen this site, I believe it is one of the best AGO chapter sites I have ever seen.

    thanks bill!!

direct link to that NOrth Vernon Fuga:

I think its quite a nice little pipe organ for how little space it takes up and that Wicks electric action is super reliable.

I'm considering putting Wicks direct electric action on my REuter pipe organ instead of releathering... but still thinking on that one.

Re: Pipe Organs for sale on Ebay

Very nice link to the North Vernon Wicks Fuga!  The one I had was the same exact stoplist, including the synthetic Quintadena, which plays the flute at 8 and 2-2/3 and the synthetic Oboe, which plays the string at 8 and the flute at 2-2/3.  However, not only is this case more attractive than mine, but also significantly taller.  I suspect that the stopped flute goes all the way down to 16-foot in this model rather than using the little reed contraption as in the smaller model.  I bet this organ sounds quite nice and I am happy to see that the church appears to be well maintained.

I don't know if the flute goes down to 16' or not. I couldn't imagine it would but maybe they have it snaked around inside the cabinet somehow. I didn't have enough time to figure out whehter the bottom sounded different (I'm not the organist on those recordings).

"Original 1800 pipe organ, excellent working condition, has been meticulously maintained.
Great oppertunity to own a piece of history.
Needs to be disassembled to move"

According to Wikipedia, plexiglass was invented in 1928.
AAAAnd! Look at those nice original 1800 toe studs, and the original 1800 32 pedal radiating, concave pedalboard.
Where are the trackers? and... and.... gr! People need to learn about what they're selling before they try to sell their items on ebay
