I also did the same thing for insurance that you did. A similar result was obtained (over $150,000 five years ago). The problem is that I do not want a new organ, the desireable result is to replace the original organ with an exact duplicate. Since new instruments are not being made (Wurlitzer Style D, 6 ranks), there is a problem in obtaining a replacement. In addition, the lumber to make the chests and pipes is no longer available, so that it becomes a problem to manufacture a duplicate. The Wurlitzer chest has expansion chambers under each pipe and uses pallets just like a tracker so that this type of chest construction is somewhat difficult to obtain in today's world. Present day consoles and chests do not seem to last as long as the original but considering my age would not be a problem for me. A similar used organ is difficult to find today as most have been extensively changed and rebuilt over the years. Mine still has the original voicing (as much as we can tell) and has not been "modernized" to the presently popular style (reducing the volume of the higher pitches, changing the high pitched registers from the flute to the tibia, etc.). The original design is far more versatile for playing a wide variety of music and would probably be impossible to obtain today.

Estey organ from a church in Germantown, Philadelphia, about 70% re-finished/rebuilt. 12 stops Swell to Great 8 VES, Great Dulciana 8', Great Open Diapason 8', Great Principal 8', Great Principal 4', Pedal Bourdon 16', SW Tremolo, SW Salicional 8', SW Stopped Diapason 8', SW Flute Harmonic 4', Great to Pedal, Swell to Pedal, Swell to Great. Will look impressive in great room of antique organ lover, this organ is all pneumatic. There is a remote blower with this instrument built in Philadelphia probibly in the late 30's.

Holy crap in crap do they sell on Ebay all of these gems for next to nothing??? I want it! I must have it in my living room!!! Oh, if only I had the space...no room in the apartment. I have to get a house. Now, what would be really nice would be an organ with, oh, let's say a Double Open Wood 32, Bombarde 32, Resultant 32, etc. Then I could pull them all and annoy that noisy and loud neighbour when he gets too loud!

That looks like a typical 3r Wicks.  If I'm not mistaken thats a Clarabella Flute, a Salicional and a 4' Octave.

residence pipe organ that needs a home. Was bought in Ackron Ohio by a profesional organist as his practice organ. I have no list of whats what, hopefully you know what you are looking at. I WILL NOT BREAK THIS UP, ALL OF IT GOES TO HIGH BIDDER. Some of the pipes are stored in pipe crates. Bring lots of boxes. The set of facade pipes are in need of repair. Pipes are in good shape but do show there age. One rank has Resiener solenoids which would cost the price of my opening bid. Old solenoid rails have sustained water damage and would need to be repaired. I had plans of using all Resiener solenoids. Cover over motors for wind chest was scrapped. Easy to make out of celotex. Last owner said that the blower was quite loud and needed to be remotely located. Organ console was made by him and is quite small and modern looking. Have original console Oak with tambour lid. It was totaly dissmantled for storage. Tons of spare parts. Bring a large truck. UNIT WAS NEVER OPERATIONAL BY ME.
