    Deleting vs. Moving Posts

Is it possible that when one accidentally posts in the wrong forum, that the entire thread could be moved to the correct category?  Also, that a button be created enabling the original author to request the move?  You have buttons allowing one to report a thread as abusive, but not to request a move.

I accidentally posted to the wrong category (missed the correct category--must've clicked the wrong one), and received a couple of rude comments about posting in the wrong category.  Now that I'm trying to thank those who contributed positively and constructively to my question, I cannot because the post has been removed totally, rather than moved to the correct category.

<>Please let me know what you decide.

Your thread was moved, not deleted.  As the starter of the thread you should have received an email notification when this occurred.  When you're logged in, you should always be able to see a list of the most recent discussions you've participated in by looking under the My Discussion panel at the right side of the page.  Click on that title bar and you'll see a complete list.
