It really IS the pipe voice of the electric organ!

Today I decided I would hook my Leslie 125 up to my WurliTzer ES Reed organ. I have been trying to think of a way to get a good theatre tremolo out of it. Well, wowee! I can not believe my ears! The Leslie went far above my expectations. In fact, it went so far that I may never take it off! lol

Sorry Hammond, you just lost your Leslie privileges in my house. ;-)

Single rotor, Nathan, doing exactly what it's meant to do! I'm racking my brains to think of any theatre style organ rotary cabinet that had horn rotors, except for the leslie 251. The Conns, Baldwins, Rodgers and Gulbransens all managed without.

I liked twin cabs on Conns, one with single rotor and a 251 as well. Mike them right or posistion them 'just so' and the sound could be awesome, especially if you left the internal speakers on as well. Multiple rotors gave the impression of having more than one rank of Tibias, all on separate trems.

It's not what you play, it's not how you play. It's the fact that you're playing that counts.

    WurliTzer ES Sound Test

    For you, John? Okay then.

Here is a little sound test I did earlier today. Sorry that the audio isn't that great, I have a bad XLR cable so I had to use the camera mic.

I tried to give some variety, but it's hard to come up with things on the fly without it dragging on.

Actually, the audio was pretty good, especially compared with some of the stuff on YouTube. That was actually quite refreshing, and, it was pretty cool, Definitely keep the leslie hooked up to the Wurli.
