Re: Do you believe the grease pit should be closed?

    HL, et, al,

I have NOT lost any battles. Truth stands regardless!  Knowledege and learning never hurt anyone as well as one thinking for themselves.  Just look at the Poll input of how many voted NO.  I didn't loose any battles recently nor in the past few weeks.

    Soubasse32,

It does belong to the maker of this forum, and if he closes it, then he will.  It has already served its purpose anyhow as mentioned above.  As long as it is available we do have the right to speak the truth.   I believe we still have freedom of speech.

Re: Do you believe the grease pit should be closed?

    HL,

No, I am NOT old.  I am very mature, educated, and my line of work has enabled me to have a great understanding of human behavior.  I do have a wealth of knowlege as well as wisdom.  My spine is very rigid, and I have a backbone, and I have my own two feet to stand very tall.  I do NOT need anyone on my side since I don't organize or fall in with "sides."  I have already mentioned I have not lost any battles or arguments, I only stand up for myself and the truth which sets me and anyone else free.  You, nor anyone else have NOT told me off regardless of any reason you can think of including age.

It is apparent that you dropped the subject before, put your tail between your legs, and took a running  leave of absence.  It sounds to me like you licked your wounds, then came back with another tactic like a sorehead.  So, yes, your Poll was started when you came back as a result.  Several have already mentioned some facts to you before I made any comments.  That IS a fact since you once again fell right into your same methods mentioning what you think mainline churches are doing.  How do you know what they are doing if you are so busy with your own?  I could care less what any church or organized religion does.  Religion and true Salvation are not one and the same.  If I would pray for you, one thing is I would pray for your deliverance from religion and what some denomination has taught you.  I can see they have "messed" with your head.

I have shared and learned so much on here that is in my personal interests, and if it is not in my interest it doesn't affect me at all.  Some types and brand of organs interest me very much, and some do not at all.

So, you made a poll about the Grease Pit being closed down, and NOW you have made an about face.  Well, you might learn something.  At least more and more will see for themselves your inputs on here.

Do you know anything  worthwhile to contribute to the Organ Forum about organs?    If so, you could be most helpful.

I will choose my words carefully.

HEY HAMMONDLOVER!  I thought you were totally disgusted with the rest of us and said you were going to pick up your ball and go home?

I voted "NO".  I love to lurk in the shadows and see whats going on.  And apparently, you do too............"don't judge an organ by it's generator".

    Jay999,

These are some good thoughts indeed.

Re: Do you believe the grease pit should be closed?

We're going back to that fateful day when this all began. It's time to settle this once and for all.

A certain character by the name of "Noah Benzing" started an inappropriate topic  (See sexually Confused Leslie/Hammond - http://organforum.com/forums/1/57749/ShowThread.aspx) making fun of gays and those of other denominations. There were a number of posters who were confused, and seemed to be hurt by the inappropriate gestures. I did my best to order the person to stand down, and defend those hurt in my own clumsy sort of way. He did not post on the topic again. However, "Crossyinoz" used the term "Holy rollin Crackpot", which I find an offensive and hurtful term. I realized that it was not directed at me, but I still don't like the term thrown around like an old shoe. I asked him not to use it, and YOU TenorTrumpet decided to defend his use of the term, AFTER I HAD TAKEN YOUR SIDE!

There were a number of people who witnessed an inappropriate remark I made about Christian Scientists, and were clearly offended. It was rude and in poor taste, and I apologized. I made a certain comment on Hammond Zeni net which I made under false pretenses and misinformation. I shamed myself and I angered someone and so apologized there too, because I was wrong, even if misguided. I know very well when I am wrong. This IS NOT one of those instances.

What you did was not very mature at all, and only shows you've absorbed the behaviors of the churches you were angry at, and used to defend your cause.

You have indeed learned much Tenor Trumpet, as I have. But also as I, you have a lot to learn.

Guys, shouldn't that discussion be in the grease pit? Sorry but this hasn't anything to do with the poll anymore.

    NYC,

I agree, the Poll is set up to vote, and then make a Reply as on any other topic here on the Organ Forum.  However, it is evident that the Poll has showed the NO's are very far ahead of anything else even via the comments made.  It has served it purpose well.

Thanks T.T.8, very good advice. I have come to agreement with you that it won't do any good to shut down the avenue of the <slatternly and spiteful> because they would just mess up the rest of the site. I still do maintain (as I know you do) that there is never a need to be <slatternly and spiteful> but obviously there will always be people who are like that...

Re: Do you believe the grease pit should be closed?

    /action simply votes....  'no' :)

I have everyright to say what I want in the Grease Pit... and those who respond have everyright to say anything in response.... it's a wonderful way to vent steam from other forums.....  and I salute the owner for his ingenuity.  I knew exactly what I was doing when I made my 'inappropriate post'.  I may be exceedingly financially poor with a swisscheese brain and an even more swisschese knowledge of organs and electronics.... but admist all the well-to-do's here I knew that giving yall' a lil' taste of life from my side of the tracks would bring to light......... other issues.

I might not be able to afford "Hammond/Leslie" oils... or a B3...   hell...  I'm testing tubes with a Sencore Mighty Mite II that has all the wear and tear from a roadside bombing.... but I'm honest and won't twist your brain with 'religion'.. in respects to our primary common interest... our love for acoustic physics and the devices which manipulate said acoustics.

So I vote no.......   leave the Grease Pit be...  it's a wonderful place for those like myself with no end to tasteless organ-related jokes and mindless organ related electrical accidents... ;)

And to my fellow Hammondlover....  I'll see YOU in the Grease Pit...  for more 'inappropriate topics' ;)

     God bless yall' :))))

Posts consisting of foul language, personal attacks, slander, and wanton flaming are moved to this unmoderated forum in the interest of free speech. Visit here only if you don't mind getting dirty

Sounds like thw pit was intended for use by Admin to move stuff into NOT for a licence to vent or all of the other nonsense people who dont know squat are posting about it.
